Product Description
The RTX Secure 610-IR hard drive enclosure offers a high-performance iSCSI interface that supports six encrypted 3.5” SATA hard drives.
Strong AES 256-bit encryption protects your data if the hard drive falls into the wrong hands. CRU encryption is hardware based and encrypts every sector of the drive including boot sectors, swap space, and temp files. Data is encrypted in real time in the hardware completely independent of the operating system. A physical key is used to encrypt, decrypt, and grant access to the data. This means your important and sensitive data is safe.
TrayFree bays make adding drives effortless. It's as easy as opening the door, sliding the drive in, and closing the door. No screws, no trays. It just works.
iSCSI-enabled enclosures have an Ethernet port and an IP address so that you can connect to a server or computer anywhere on your network. For the best results, we recommend connecting iSCSI enclosures to a computer via a second network interface. Once connected, this computer could then share the volume over your network with normal file sharing methods.
The RTX Secure 610-IR enclosure features a powerful RAID option and works in RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, and 6. It also operates in JBOD. For more information on RAID, click here.
Additional features:
- TrayFree bays rated for tens of thousands of drive insertions
- Support for any capacity 3.5” SATA hard drive
- 3-year limited warranty
- Free tech support by phone or email for the life of the product
Anyone who needs an encrypted 6-Bay iSCSI enclosure for 3.5-inch hard drives will find the RTX Secure 610-IR a reliable device. Find a reseller near you or buy online.
FAQs
Q : Is the boot sector encrypted (as well as all the rest of
the drive)?
Yes. The entire drive is encrypted. For a single drive application (no RAID) the File Allocation Table (for any type of file system) is encrypted. This could be a master boot record or just a basic FAT. For multi-drive applications, any RAID data contained on an individual drive is encrypted.
