This all-metal external enclosure accepts DP25 dual SATA carriers and can connect to virtually any computer through a fast USB 3.0 host connection (backwards compatible with USB 2.0). 

The removable carrier holds two 2.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs for high storage capacity. Hardware RAID support allows the drives to be combined into a single volume for better performance, capacity, or to add redundancy for data protection. The RAID Dock 3JR supports multiple modes of operation: RAID 0 (striping), 1 (mirroring), and spanning, as well as "no RAID" mode for using the drives independently. The RAID mode can be configured on the frame, so that each inserted dual-SATA carrier will use that mode. Alternatively, if carriers with RAID configurability are used, the frame can be set to "no RAID" mode and RAID can be configured separately on each carrier.

This dock is hot swappable, so there is no need to power down the computer before swapping drive carriers.
